Archer loves to do the actions to song now, as did Avie around this age. At the beginning of December, we were video chatting with Grandma and Grandpa and Archer did the actions for Twinkle Twinkle Little Star with us. It was so cute! Enjoy!
This video was taken on December 14th, 2011 when Archer was 19 months old.

Moving day
For those of you that don't know, we bought a house! We just moved in about a week and a half ago. Moving day went really great thanks to all of our help: Keri and Grandma for watching all the kids, and Steve, Grant, Jarad, and Grandpa for doing all the heavy lifting.

The kids helping out at the old apartment. Avie said she was making sure the floor was packed properly (with the paper).

Breakfast at the new house before we moved in. Using the few boxes we already had there. Perfect size for the kids.

We rented a truck and a two wheeler and were able to get everything we own in one trip.

And our moving crew taking a much deserved break for lunch at the new house.

We only had one minor set back during the move.
Q: How many grown men does it take to get a queen size box spring up the stairs?

A: More than 4.
We have been waiting to buy a new bed for a long time, but our last couple of apartments have been too small, so we've continued to use our old full size bed (which was Camille's parents old bed). So now that we are moving into our own house, Jarad went to Sam's Club the morning of our moving day to purchase a new queen size bed, so we would not have to pay for delivery.
After several attempts, the guys realized there was no way we were going to get the queen box spring up the stairs. Finally, Steve says "this is why you should get a king bed because the box spring is two twins. So we decided this was a great idea! Steve and Jarad took the truck back to Sam's Club and returned the queen bed and purchase a king bed. So, now, we have a new king size bed and we love it! :)

Archer's first swimming lesson
Archer had his first swimming lesson last Tuesday and he loved it. Before we left, we asked him if he wanted to go swimming and he nodded his head really big and headed up to the bathtub. Then, we told him we were going to a big pool and that he needed his coat and shoes. He brought his coat and shoes to us right away. As we waited at the pool for the swimming lessons to start, Archer was so excited! He kept pumping his arms. It was so cute! I captured a little of this on video.
Once the lesson started, he was splashing and kicking away. My favorite was the kicking when on his back. Daddy said he did not want his ears to get wet, but other than that, he was kicking like crazy as you can see by this video. I love it!
He also had fun playing "motor boat, motor boat" with Daddy.
During the lesson, he also swam for the toy, when Daddy put it in front of him. The splashing he made while swimming mostly just pushed the toy further away. :) And he even put his mouth in the water a few times and tried to blow bubbles. Daddy said he was even successful one time.

Before swimming lesson started, Archie was sitting next to Daddy on the edge of the pool. It was really cute! When I went to take a picture, Archie moved away from Daddy. Each time Daddy moved closer to him so I could get a picture, Archie would scoot further away. It was really funny!

Go Diego Go
Archie was sick for the last two weeks in January. As a result, we spent a lot of time inside. And we all saw a lot of Archie's favorite show, Diego. So much so that Archie now knows the theme song. Well, the end of it anyway. "Diego, Diego. Go Diego Go."

Care Bears videos
Avalon received a Care Bears video with several episodes from her Grandma and Grandpa. She just found the case for the video a few weeks ago and I guess she has seen this show a lot (we did have two really long car trips during Christmas break) because she recited the entire beginning ver batum. Here is the translation that starts right after she says "that is so funny."
"Here comes the Care Bears so sit back and watch the show. For fun special features press the menu button on the remote control. If you need help, please ask a grown up."

Playing together at Play Pals!
Avie and Archie had lots of fun together at Play Pals a few weeks ago. They were both playing on their own for about 20 minutes and then they started to play together really well. Avie was pushing Archie in this car for at least 20 minutes. It was so cute! I caught a few really good pics and videos. It is so nice to see them having so much fun playing together!
