More teeth!
Over the last month, Archie has gotten his first four molars. He is now 15 months old and since he does not have a doctor's appt at this age, his unofficial weight was about 23 pounds which moved him up to the 25%.
And, of course, some cute pics showing off his teeth. And some of his favorite activities.
Sitting in the rocking chair.
Playing at the park.
Climbing up and going down the slide.
Swinging. He loves swinging!
Playing with shoes.
Swimming, especially when he can wade in himself.
Splashing water on himself. He was pretty surprised this time when the water hit his face, but it doesn't bother him, he just keeps on doing it.
Sitting in the door frame at Mummi and Ukki's house.
Sitting on the fireplace at Grandma and Grandpa's house.
Playing outside.
Hiding in the closet and taking everything off the shelves and out of the closet.
Getting his shoes and trying to convince someone to take him outside, which usually works especially at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Who could say no to this face.
Bothering whoever is trying to get something done in the kitchen.
For my records, here is the dates his teeth came in.
First molar: July 9 - his top left side
Second molar: July 16 - his top right side.
Third molar: August 7 - his bottom right side.
Fourth molar: August 11 - his bottom left side.

Avie's first time bowling
Avie's went bowling for the first time with her friend Signy back in Santa Barbara in June. Both Avalon and Signy had a blast! I couldn't believe they could actually carry the ball all the way up to the dinosaur by themselves. I have to admit, Monica and I were a little nervous they might drop it on their toes. And it was a little difficult keeping Archie from walking into the lane, but at least he couldn't pick up the ball on his own yet.

Avalon would watch the other people bowling next to us and sometimes she would go down on one knee and watch the ball. It was pretty cute!
Avalon and Signy both like to play with the computer used to keep score, which we thought was okay until one of the workers came by and said every time they press the buttons it beeps at the desk saying we need something. Oops!
In the end, Signy won the game and this was before her last frame.

Archie wanted to play too, but he was still a bit too small.
Archie also liked to play with the hand dryer.

Indoor races!
While Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Marie went to a musical at the local theater in town, FMCT, Uncle Grant stayed home and watched all four kids. They came up with some pretty fun games. Grant captured these races on video so we all can enjoy them! Archie even joined in the fun! Grant said that after a while, Archie decided not to run all the way to the door, but stop a little short and wait for the other kids. Smart kiddo!

Silly Willy!
Avalon loves to read books! In fact, I was trying to decide what type of toy Avalon likes to play with the most this summer and I finally concluded it's books. All day long she is asking us to read books to her, and if we are not reading to her, she is often reading to herself either reciting the story by heart or making it up. One of her favorite books in Duluth is called "Silly Willy," and it's about a boy who puts his clothes on incorrectly, putting his pants on his head and his shoes on his feet, etc. A couple of weeks ago, Avalon came up to us as pictured above and said "I'm Silly Willy." The picture is so cute, I couldn't resist sharing the story with you all!
