The Big Move - Part 2 (Post 1 of 3)

We've been in California for about 6 weeks now and I'm finally getting to the story of our trip here. We left Moorhead on August 28th and we arrived at our apartment on September 8th. Avalon had lots of fun on our way here! Of course she spent a good amount of time in the car, but we did break the trip up quite a bit. Here are some of the highlights from the trip.



Avalon played with her cousins Kaylin, Westin and Colton during our first stop near Omaha Nebraska.



She also had fun with her cousins' toys.


The next day was probably the longest driving day on our way to Boulder, CO. We stopped at a nice rest area where Avalon enjoyed walking by the water and onto the floating dock.


In Boulder, Avalon had lots of fun playing with her Aunt Libby and Uncle Chris.





Avalon also went on an amazing hike to Lake Isabelle in her brand new backpack carrier (which we received as a gift from Libby and Chris.)



She had some lunch with Aunt Libby.


She had fun playing games with Pete while we took a rest.


And then we got caught in a bit of a rain/hail storm (which coincidentally was exactly was happened to Jarad and I the last time we did this same hike.) We tried to keep Avalon dry while Jarad attempted to run. Avalon didn't enjoy this part of the hike too much (and neither did we) as she couldn't see much and she was starting to slip out of the backpack carrier as Jarad was running.
