Trip to Washington DC

Camille and the kids took a trip to Washington DC this past week to celebrate her uncle Collin Peterson's 20th year in Congress as a Minnesota Representative and 4 years as the Chairman of the Agriculture Committee. The highlight of the trip and the reason for going was the portrait ceremony held for her uncle on Tuesday night.

After the ceremony and the unveiling of the portrait in the House of Agriculture Committee hearing room, Collin sang for the crowd. Avalon had so much fun dancing to the music! She kept asking for another song. She danced, jumped and fell the night away with her cousin Dorian. It was definitely the highlight of the trip! Later that evening when the entire family took a tour of the House floor and Collin started talking, Avalon asked, "Is he going to sing again?"
