Tidepooling

At the beginning of May, our family went Tide Pooling for the first time. It was early in the morning, so it was cool and almost misty. When I look at these photo I think there is no way I took this in Santa Barbara, CA. It looks like it's from a fantasy land in a movie.

When we first started out, we kept seeing dead crabs and sea creatures, so we weren't really sure if we'd find anything. But we pressed on and finally after about 30 minutes, we found several star fish, a sea urchin, and a few other small creatures. Avalon had a blast. She was ready to touch everything, and so was Archer, but he was stuck in the backpack.
