Open Streets of Ames

Last Sunday, we all went to an event called "Open Streets of Ames."  It is put on by the Ames Park and Rec. Department.  They close main street downtown to cars and have lots of fun activities.  On Stage, they recognize all kids that ran 30 miles in mileage club in the Spring of 2017.  So Archer was interviewed on stage!  It was really awesome!

The kids also played a large version of connect four and some street hockey too!






They loved the climbing wall too!  We spent a lot of time there letting the kids try all three routes!  They both made it pretty easily to the top of the routes on the left and right, but the middle one was tough.  They both got stuck right at the top!  They worked hard for quite a while trying to figure it out!  But, ultimately could not make the last move to ring the bell.
