On Saturday morning, we were watching pictures on our Alexa and we saw some pics from when we brought the kids to the boundary waters when they were 3 and 5 years old. This sparked a fun memory of the kids singing "Everywhere Fun Fair!" So I found the video of the kids on our blog and we watched it. The kids and I went on to watch videos of the kids when they were little on this blog for another 2 hours! It was so much fun! Our all time favorite is "Avie loves to talk!" We couldn't stop laughing at how Avie goes on and on about Christmas and Santa as Archer is walking around with his blanket, and bumping into her, and trying to get her attention. It is so cute and hilarious!
Then, we went outside to help Daddy take down our old deck. That was hard work, but we made some good progress! And Daddy made a lot of progress!
Then we heading to Surefire Fitness where the kids went to their best friend, Elodie's, Kid Ninja Birthday Party! Avie wrapped the presents herself.
The kids had a blast! Check out the videos of the kids completing the obstacle course!
And Archer figured out how to climb up the pole on the side to reach this bar! He was so excited! And wanted me to capture a picture!
And then he let go of the bar and was able to stay up there! So cool!
And earlier at the party, Avie figured out how to conquer this obstacle without holding the top! Awesome!
By the time we left the party, it was almost 6, so we decided to go out to eat at Noodles. It was still beautiful, so we ate outside! The kids both said the sauce was too spicy. So we told Avie to go in and ask if she could have some plain noodles. I went with her and ended up doing the asking, but we found out that they had put on the spicy sauce by accident, so not only did the kids get an entire new meal, we also go coupons for 2 free bowls next time. So we were glad that we decided to ask!
When we got home, the kids were playing outside on the ninja line while Jarad and I sat on the deck! Avie was giving commentary like she was on TV. "She only has 2 obstacles left, and she clears the teeter totter without even making it flip and then onto the last obstacle..." Followed by Archer running several laps around the yard before settling back into the sandbox. Then both the kids joined us with books and sitting in the chairs. We were outside until it was dark and we could see bats flying around. It was a beautiful night and a fun day! I really enjoyed relaxing outside, watching the kids play and reading my book! This is the life!
