Avalon goes to the Aquarium with Mummi and Ukki

Mummi and Ukki took Avalon to the Aquarium in Duluth while we were home for Christmas. Avalon has been there twice before, but she is older now and from the sounds of it, she was a lot more interested in the exhibits this time. Thanks for taking pictures, so we get to see how much fun she had with you both!

Mummi and Ukki said that she spent most of her time at two exhibits. The first one was the fishing boat where she spent lots of time fishing. And it looks like she caught some fish too and already knows to hold them up for a picture! Too cute!

Mummi shows her the sign for fish. Avalon used to know this sign well, but it's been a while since she has used her signs. Looks like Avalon is saying "I caught four fish."
Mummi said that she wanted to put on this life jacket and asked Mummi to wear one too. Safety first! Good job Avie!

The second exhibit she spent a lot of time at was the Great Lakes Display, which is a map of the Great Lakes with locks that is filled with water and boats, so that kids and adults can try out the locks and see how they work. Or, for Avalon and probably a lot of other little kids, it is a great big water table, and she loves playing with the water! The last time we were at the Aquarium this past summer, she spent a majority of her time here too. And as before, she was soaked head to toe when she was finished. We did send along an extra outfit knowing it was likely she would need it.

In this exhibit, you can actually touch the rays and Ukki said that Avalon did touch them. You can actually see one of the rays in the picture.

From this window, there is a beautiful view of the Duluth Harbor and Ariel Lift Bridge. Although, I'm guessing that is not what Avalon is pointing at.

In this exhibit, you can get up close to see lots of large fish.

Mummi and Avalon say hi to the Moose. Jarad and I have actually seen several Moose in the wilderness during our vacations to Isle Royal in MN, the Grand Tetons in Wyoming, and Novia Scotia on our honeymoom.

The first time we took Avalon to the Aquarium, she had just turned one and was just starting to walk and her favorite thing was the drain on the floor. This picture reminded me of that.

Thanks to Mummi and Ukki for taking Avalon to the Aquarium. It looks like she had a great time!

You are right, Avie was not looking at the view. She was very excited about the white car she saw!
