Happy 3rd Birthday Archie!

We have been telling Archie for the past couple of weeks that we are going to go to Mummi and Ukki's house for his birthday to celebrate with cake and presents, but we didn't do a good enough job explaining that we weren't going until after his actual birthday.  So when he woke up this morning, Avie said "Archie, it is your birthday."  Archie responded "we get to go to Mummi and Ukki's house!"  It was so sweet! 

In celebration of his actual birthday today, we took him out to Orange Leaf for some yummy ice cream!  And for the first time, we let him get his own bowl and pick out what he wanted.  He was so excited!  After he finished his ice cream, he helped Mommy and Daddy finish theirs too and then he decided to make sure that he had gotten all of the ice cream possible out of his bowl!  Too cute!

And we have been asking him all day, how old he is today and he definitely knows that he is 3 now! :)

Go Go Go Joseph...

My Mom, two of my aunts, Connie and Mary, and I took a road trip down to Murfreesboro, Tennessee (just south of Nashville) to see two of my second cousins perform in their high school musical, "Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat."  My mother-in-law, Bonnie, and sister-in-law Libby also met us there and joined us for the musical.  We had a fun trip down there to visit my cousin, Elliot, his wife, Janae, and their two kids, Collin and Tori.  Collin was "Joseph," the lead, in the musical and Tori was in the ensemble.  The musical was amazing!  We loved it!  And went to see it twice!  Great job Collin and Tori!

I first saw this musical when I was in high school and it was why fell in love with musicals.  And seeing it again has reminded me how much I love it!  

Springtime? More snow...

We thought the snow was gone for good, but now it is May and we have even more snow!  On May 2nd, we woke up to find this outside our window....MORE SNOW!

Avalon asked me to go outside and play in the snow about 8 times before it was even 8:00am.  So the kids and I got the snow gear out of the attic and decided to make the most of it.  We had fun playing in the snow for what hopefully was the last time this year!   We are ready for spring!
