Piano Recital
Avalon is completing her second year of piano lessons and Archer is completing his first year! Here are some videos of the most recent recital. I am posting the videos of the rehearsal because I got better videos than I did during the actual recital! They are both doing a really great job! Avalon loved piano when she first started last year, but is now a bit tired of all the practice. Archer is still really enjoying learning the piano! He loves to practice on the I-pad app called Piano Miastro.

Archer's 7th Birthday
Happy Birthday to my favorite Baby Boy! Love this kid!
Archer turned 7 years old today! We had lots of fun celebrating his birthday!

We started the day with mazes and a birthday present! And then some oatmeal, by request, for breakfast!
After school, we played a the park!
Next, we went home for snacks and another birthday present! This was the present he wanted the most and has been asking for all week! His favorite game, Machi Koro! We borrowed this game from friends for a few months and returned it several months ago. Archer told me earlier this week that it is his favorite game and he really wanted to play it again!
Then we face-timed with Grandma & Grandpa! Archer told them about his day so far and explained to them how he had finished around 100 mazes in his maze book since he started it 2 days ago!
Next, we went home for snacks and another birthday present! This was the present he wanted the most and has been asking for all week! His favorite game, Machi Koro! We borrowed this game from friends for a few months and returned it several months ago. Archer told me earlier this week that it is his favorite game and he really wanted to play it again!
Then we face-timed with Grandma & Grandpa! Archer told them about his day so far and explained to them how he had finished around 100 mazes in his maze book since he started it 2 days ago!
We got the game all set up and reread the rules since we couldn't remember exactly how to play! Then it was time for a birthday dinner! Archer chose to go to his favorite Mexican restaurant, El Azteca where they sing to you and give you free fried ice cream! Archer was a bit nervous about the singing, but he was willing to risk it for the ice cream! ;)
Then we played a bit of peek a boo! Archer really liked the hat, especially the rainbow colors!
Next Avalon was off to a friend's birthday party for swimming and a sleep over. Archer was invited to come for the swimming too! He had a fun time swimming but got cold after about a half hour and was ready to head home to play his favorite game, Machi Koro!
After a 3 games of Machi Koro, it was time for bed!
But we still haven't talked to Mummi yet, so Archer face-timed her around 8:00 PM. Archer was a bit silly and goofy by now, but he managed to tell Mummi a bit about his day before getting ready for bed! And open his presents from Mummi and Ukki including this fun bug playground!
Before bed, we measured Archer's height on his growth chart and then conducted a birthday interview for the first time! We are hoping to make this a tradition!
Then we read "My Very Own Name," for the first time! This is a book we ordered for Archer several years ago and it spells out his whole name! Very fun choice for his birthday!
Now Archer is asleep after a fun and busy birthday!
Daddy and Ukki are out in the boundary waters fishing for opening fishing weekend! Daddy sent Archer a text message in the morning before heading into the wilderness and he set up a fun scavenger hunt for Archer as well! However, we ran out of time today! So that will be a fun adventure for tomorrow!

Avalon - Ski Team
Avalon joined the Seven Oaks Ski Team this winter and she had a blast! In addition to learning how to ski better, she also got to try out the slalom and giant slalom course!
